This is a 27" x 41" original US one-sheet poster for the 1959 Fred Zinneman film The Nun's Story based on the 1956 novel of the same title by Kathyrn Hulme, screenplay by Robert Anderson and starring Audrey Hepburn as Sister Luke/Gabrielle van der Mal. Plot summary: In 1930 in Belgium the daughter of a prominent surgeon decides to become a nun in the Congo to work with people afflicted by tropical diseases. She remains in Africa for years before returning to Belgium during the war.
