This is a 19" x 26" Yugoslavian poster for the 1936 Michael Curtiz film Charge of the Light Brigade based on a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, story by Michael Jacoby, screenplay by Michael Jacoby and Roland Leigh and starring Errol Flynn as Major Geoffrey Vickers. Plot summary: In 1854 in India during the Crimean War the garrison of the 27th Lancers is attacked and massacred by Surat Khan [C. Henry Gordon] while the regiment itself is out on maneuvers. The victims are mostly women and children. Major Geoffrey Vickers later takes personal vengeance against Surat Khan in a suicidal charge during the Battle of Balaclava (25 October 1854).
