This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Abdel Rahman for the 1986 Said Tantawi film My Daughter and the Jackal based on screenplay and dialogue by Mahmoud Abouzayd and Sabry Ezzat and starring Shams El-Barudy as Azhar. Plot summary: Azhar suffered because of the actions of her rebellious son. On the other hand Mostafa [Hassan Youssef] had an unspoken love for her. Youssef [Nour El-Sherif] also courted her. Azhar did not reveal her secret and simply observed the situation at a mansion belonging to her aunt [Naima Wasfy]. She discovered that Mostafa was working there and was planning to court her. She also rebuffed his attentions.

A Woman with a Bad Reputation (1973) - (Shams El-Barudy) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Wahib Fahmy for the 1973 Henry Barakat film A Woman with a Bad Repuation based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Mamdou El Leithy and starring Shams El-Barudy as Henaa. Plot summary: Henaa and Kamal Shukry [Youssef Chaban] got married, but then he made her compromise her principles to help him fulfill his ambitions. He introduced her to his manager Saafan, [Imad Hamdi] who rewarded Kamal by making him company sales manager. Henaa soon became a prostitute selling her body to get promotions. Henaa met her old boyfriend Ahmed Fouad [Mahmoud Yassine] but she did not tell him about the way she had been behaving with Saafan. She promised Ahmed she would ask Kamal for a divorce so she could marry him.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Walid Wahig for the 1975 Ismail al-Qadi film Divorcees based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Kamel al-Hefnawi and starring Shams El-Barudy as Samia. Plot summary: Samia loved her husband Wahid, but there were many indications he was having relations with other women. Samia asked for a separation and formed a new relationship with Adel, [Shukry Sarhan] the manager at the company where she worked. Adel knew Samia well and tried to get her father [Imad Hamdi] to let him marry her after her divorce. Samia's mother Zeinab [Mimi Shakeeb] objected strenuously; Samia became confused about her relationship with Adel, but Adel pressed the case until Samia's mother agreed to the marriage.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Wael for the 1968 Fatin Abel Wahab film Happiness Hotel [فندق السعادة] with story, screenplay and dialogue by Faruq Sabri and starring Nadia El Guindy as Nagwa. The film was made in Syria. Plot summary: Ahmed Bey [Ahmed Ramzy] went to the airport to catch a plane to England, but the flight was delayed. When he went back home to his mansion he found his domestic help had converted it to a hotel and were renting it to tourists. The servants changed everything back the way it was but when Ahmed came back later the same night he found Mona [Shams El-Baroudy] and Magda [Nadia El Guindy] sleeping there. They attacked him because they thought he was a thief, but later it became clear that he was the owner of the house and that Nagwa was in love with his servant Saeed [Shoushou].

Pictured is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Mohammad Abdel Aziz to promote the 1971 Nour El-Demerdash 91-minute black-and-white film Music Espionage and Love [musiqi wa gasusia wa hob] starring Shams El-Barudy with story. screenplay and dialogue by Ihab Al-Azhari and cinematography by Mahmoud Nasr. Plot summary: This is a black-and-white musical with low production values using pharaonic dance themes with a bit of Latin American music thrown in. Against this backdrop a foreign spy, who is also one of the performers, has a change of heart about his espionage mission and exposes himself for the sake of Egypt, which he believes is betrayed by his mission. He is rewarded for this with the privilege of remaining with his family in his beloved Egypt.

Journey of Life (1974) - (Shams El-Barudy) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Mohammad Abdel Aziz to promote the 1974 87-minute Saad Arafa color film Journey of Life [rahlet al-omr] starring Shams El-Barudy and Ahmed Mazhar based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Saad Arafa with cinematography by Ahmed Dia Al-Mahdi. Plot summary: Salwa was a girl of foreign extraction who lived with her aunt in Cairo. She was a girl with a liberal perspective who loved a boy her age named Essam. They agreed to spend a few days at Sidi Abdel Rahman. Salwa went ahead and reserved an adjoining room for him. However Essam went early too because of a soccer match. Mahmoud, a bank manager, also arrived at the hotel and the booking agent asked Salwa to let Mahmoud use the room she had reserved for Essam, because he was used to using it every day. Mahmoud was married to Madiha, who had gone to the country to spend a few days with her family. Mahmoud and Madiha had a boring life together. Salwa tried to get Mahmoud interested in her and they were soon involved in a torrid affair. When Essam arrived at the hotel Salwa rejected him, and he went back to Cairo to finish his vacation there. Salwa and Mahmoud also went back to Cairo. Mahmoud tried to resume his life with his wife, but could not do so, because when he went back home he discovered she had left when she found out about the relationship with Salwa. Then he tried to go back to Salwa, but she rejected him.

Dreadful Hours (1970) - (Nabila Ebeid) Egyptian one-sheet

Pictured is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Abdel Rahman to promote the 1970 Abdel Hamid Al-Shazly 90-minute black-and-white film Dreadful Hours [al-saat al-rahiba] starring Nabila Ebeid based on a story by Nabil Nawar and screenplay and dialogue by Yayha Tadros with cinematography by Gamal El-Tabei. The film was produced and distributed by Gamal El-Tabei Films. Plot smmmary: Ramzy was a young man who worked at his corporate job seriously and with discipline. He lived in a humble apartment with his sister Sanaa, a good and simple girl. Shawkat Bey tried to push Ramzy into a projects office to facilitate his embezzlement activity. He issued an order appointing Ramzy director of an office so he could collaborate with him. He also introduced him to an abnormal girl so she could catch him in her traps. Ramzy proposed to her and discovered the extent of her demands and dreams about such things as villas and automobiles. She tried to push him into accepting bribes and Shawkat Bey tried to get rid of him by catching him on an accusation of accepting a bribe so he could have him thrown into prison. Ramzy endured the prison sentence; when he was released he found his sister had committed suicide after one of his friends had assaulted her. Then he sought revenge against the manager who had gotten him thrown in prison and the friend who had killed his sister.
