loved Nadia [Nadia Lutfi]. At the same time Kamal [Moharram Fouad] was
also in love with Nadia and nobody knew about that either. He did not
know his friend Wahid also loved Nadia. When Kamal found out about
this he decided to get out of the way.

his friend Safwat Fahmy [Omar El-Hariri]. One day Nabil saw a young
man trying to kill himself by jumping off a bridge and was able to
save him, but he drowned in so doing and left a bereaved family. The
man Hamdy Hamed Nabil had saved was stricken with remorse and wanted
to atone for his guilt at any price. He tried to get close to the
widow by renting a room in her house without telling her he had been
the cause of her husband's death. She rented him a room because she
needed the money. Hamdy began to have deep feelings for Wafa and
became close to the daughter. Hamdy acquired some money, paid it to
the widow and told her it came from a philanthropist. The widow
accused him of stealing the money from her husband. He tried to
confess to her the truth but Wafa left the country. When she returned
she found Hamdy waiting for her asking her to forgive his mistake.
She forgave him and they married.

Mona Hafez was working in a library researching her doctoral
dissertation on zoology, but her colleague Samir harassed her so much
she had to quit. Her brother Moneim, an actor playing a secondary
role in a theater group, was trying to find her a husband among his
friends, but she did everything she could to make them hate her. Mona
went to Alexandria to work there. She read about a magazine contest
for married people for the best story about the secret of their
happiness. She entered and won, claimed she was married and sent a
picture of her brother Moneim as her husband. To her surprise she won
and was told by a representative of the magazine she and her husband
would be taken on a seven-day trip around the world. She needed to
find a husband as soon as possible but was unable to solve the problem
by consulting a matchmaker.

as the abnormal girl. Plot summary: The film depicts a picaresque
chain of events in which a girl [Showeikar] is modeling swimsuits and
then removed from the scene by her fiance [Ahmed Ramzy] because as a
model she attracts inappropriate attention from a group of men. They
then find themselves at a party at a villa where a physician [Youssef
Fakhreddine] attempts to enlist her services as a model for his
paintings, but this too is deemed inappropriate by her fiance, who
attempts to get the physician charged with lewd behavior with the help
of some compromising photos he has taken. The girl takes a job as a
cabaret waitress; while working there she learns her father [Mahmoud
El-Meliguy] is in prison. She goes to meet him when he is released,
but is surprised to find that his second wife is also there to meet
him. This is so traumatic for her that she attempts to kill herself
by jumping into the Nile, but is rescued by one of her father's men,
who takes her in a coma to her father's home. When she regains
consciousness she finds her father in the room with her and thinks he
is the one who has abducted her. She flees, breaks a leg while
falling off a balcony and is treated by the same painter/physician she
met at the party. She learns that this physician had not been guilty
of lewd intentions after all. However, when questioned and accused in
court the physician commits suicide. Her father attempts to take her
with him from the court but she refuses to go. She makes her way
through a maze of hallways at the courthouse and then disappears.

al-Daba'a [Mahmoud El-Meliguy], the leader of a criminal gang. The
gang runs away from them leaving behind an injured Bedouin girl named
Rabia [Rabia Ezzedine], the daughter of Sheik Ibrahim; they know her
sister Laila [Berlanty Abdel Hamid] has been kidnapped by the gang and
is being held for ransom. They drive to the gang's ancient stone
fortress, pose as lost travelers and cleverly sneak Laila out while
staying with al-Daba'a as his guests. On their way back to the
Bedouin camp they get into gunfights and fistfights with the men
al-Daba'a has sent in pursuit; fortunately the two heroic journalists
turn out to be deadly marksmen and invincible boxers and al-Daba'a's
armed horsemen are no match for them. When they bring Laila back the
sheikh thanks them; they tell him they want to marry his two
daughters. Rabia has already been promised in marriage to her cousin
Nasir [Nasir Qortobawy] but she will have none of this because she has
fallen in love with Monir. The music, dance and dress in this film
are all Lebanese.

part of Nadia, a conservative young woman who goes through a series of
stressful and unhappy love relationships, moving from an innocent
romance with a neighbor to a failed marriage to a musician to a stormy
encounter with an alcoholic and then back to a new beginning with her
neighbor. The drinking, the quarrels, the stark simplicity of the
mid-century modern decor and the contemporary Western styles of dress
give this film a confused and alienated feel.

[Abdel Moneim Madbouly] first daughter Karima had breathtaking beauty.
She loved a boy named Kamal [Samir Sabri] whose wealth she envied, but
at the same time she was madly in love with her cousin, an ambitious
engineer named Ahmad [Nour El-Sherif]. Meanwhile her sister Hoda's
life had long been limited since her cousin had been chosen as a
husband and they loved each other. The mother pushed her daughter
Karima towards Kamal, but Karima's heart was with Ahmad. In light of
Karima's ambivalence Ahmad saw no way out other than a relationship
with his colleague Safa, while Kamal distanced himself from Karima and
married a rich girl. Karima had fallen victim to her own ambivalence.
Meanwhile her sister Hoda introduced her to an Arabic language teacher
at the school where she worked, professor Younes, and tried to present
her to him as a bride, but he quickly discovered she was worthless
because she did not know how to do anything around the house. She was
so interested in clothing and decorations that she became sick, and in
the efforts by the physician, the sister, her husband and the father
to heal Karima, Hamdi sent a letter to summon Ahmad to come and cure
Karima, but she could not accept his marriage. She tried to separate
them but failed and became disgusted with her own life. She rejected
her mother's advice about making a new commitment to the completion of
her studies.

sort of guidance and control. The control effort is not aimed at
suppressing feelings; its purpose is to prevent a bad experience. It
was in this context that Suhair (Naglaa Fathy) killed Essam (Ashraf
Abdel Ghafour), a boy who had been approaching and enticing her
frequently but refusing to marry her. She then went to the police and
confessed to the crime.
