Plot summary: Khosusi is a simple man working at a company where his cousin Nabila [Lebleba] works. He discovers an embezzlement, then feigns suicide so he can reappear as Alkhot to expose the facts.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster for the 1973 Houssam El-Din Mustafa film Devils on Vacation based on story screenplay and dialogue by Adly El-Mowaled and starring Mohamed Awad as Hamada. Plot summary: While Hamada was in the Abu Qir Mediterranean resort area Awad [Ghassan Mattar] hid some valuable diamonds in his camera. Hamada did not realize this because he was too busy enjoying himself with his friends Galal [Hassan Youssef] and Salah [Youssef Fakhr Eddine]. Awad's gang was pursuing them to get the diamonds; the police were also monitoring the situation waiting for the right time to get involved.

This is a 25" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Nagy Shaker for the 1999 Youssef Chahine film The Other written by Youssef Chahine and Khaled Youssef and starring Hanan Turk as Hanane. Plot summary: Adam [Hani Salama] is a student from a wealthy family who returns to Cairo from New York for a break from his studies and a visit. During his Cairo break Adam falls in love with Hanane, a journalist of modest means who is conducting a campaign against the wealthy Egyptian elite as they plunder the country. Adam's parents, who are themselves part of the corrupt Egyptian upper class, and especially his mother Margaret, [Nabila Ebeid] are opposed to the relationship between Adam and Hanane.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian one-sheet poster designed by Abou al-Seoud and Wahib Fahmy for the 1977 Mohamed Abdel Aziz film A Thousand and One Kisses based on a story by Mohammad Mostafa Sami, screenplay and dialogue by Aly Al-Zarkani and starring Hussein Fahmy as Essam. Plot summary: Gamalat [Nagwa Fouad] and her sister Maysa [Youssra] were nightclub dancers. Maysa met Essam, an actor who liked her. The theatrical troupe included Essam, his friend Fotouh [Sameer Ghanem] and a few friends over the objections of Gamalat and Essam's father Ahmed Hafez [Ahmed Mazhar].

This is a 27.25" x 39.5" Lebanese poster designed by Hassan Mazhar Gasour for the 1977 Ashraf Fahmy musical Look, See What Sugar Is Doing! starring Hussein Fahmy based on story and screenplay by Abdel Hay Adib. Plot summary: The little orphan girl Sugar [Sukkar] lived with a gang led by Atris and Zakia, who taught children to beg and pick pockets. Atris and Zakia learned that Sugar was the daughter of a wealthy man and that her uncle Zaki had told Atris to kidnap and kill the girl so his brother could get the inheritance. However he refused and turned her over to Zakia, who taught her to dance and sing at public celebrations. At the same time one of the investigating officers wanted to return her to her uncle.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by an unknown designer for the 1977 Mohamed Abdel Aziz film Some Go to the Justice of the Peace Twice based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Farouk Sabry and starring Adel Imam as Masoud. Plot summary: This is a comedy about marriages in crisis. Dr. Mamdouh's [Nour El-Sherif] wife Mona [Mervat Amin] was consumed with jealousy despite his love for her, while his brother Masoud's wife Mahasin [Lebleba] was preoccupied with house and children. They were referred to their uncle Ezzat [Sameer Ghanem] and his approach to his wife Sonia [Amal Ramzy]. He was untrue to her but at the same time he smothered her with love and attention. There were many complications when Mamdouh and Masoud adopted Ezzat's idea.

This is an Egyptian poster designed to promote the 1974 Mohamed Abdel Aziz 106-minute color film We Must Love in the Summer [fil-seyf lazem neheb] starring Salah Zulfikar based on a story by Mohamed Hassan and Mohamed Salem with screenplay and dialogue by Mohamed Salem and cinematography by Mostafa Imam. Plot summary: Dr. Nabil [Salah Zulfikar] took four of his patients from a hospital for nervous disorders to Alexandria believing they would be cured by mixing with the people. One of them was Ahmed [Nour El-Sherif, who lived with numbers and had a breakdown while working at a bank. The second was an amateur musician named Medhat Youssef [Samir Sabri], who competed for a prize at a song festival but failed. The third was Mohamed Youssef the mathematician who went to the hospital because of a personal crisis, and the fourth was Geneidy [Sameer Ghanem] the soccer player who had failed as his team's goalee and who believed there were conspiracies all around him. On the way to Alexandria they met a man named Fadel Abdel Hafiz [Abdel Moneim Madbouly] and his daughters on the al-Agami beach. Maggie [Magda El-Khatib] became friends with Ahmed, Mohamed became friends with Zainab [Amira], Medhat became friends with Madiha [Madiha Kamel] and Geneidy became friends with Rawia [Lebleba]. In the midst of comedic, musical and dance scenes at the beach and in the hotel Dr. Nabil restored his patients to health, and they even demonstrated they were all normal when the police came to investigate a complaint about the presence of deranged people at the hotel. Of course they all fell in love and lived happily ever after.

Badia's Daughter (1972) - (Samira Ahmed) Egyptian one-sheet

Plot summary: The poor girl Badia married a rich boy who liked her, then his mother set out to deprive him of his inheritance. The boy was forced to look for money and he took up embezzling. As soon as he started he found Badia herself in the way. One night two boys tried to rape Badia in the street, but she fought back and prevented it. They grabbed her daughter and she could not catch them. Badia worked in a cabaret. When she was returning one night she came across a baby girl. She wanted to adopt the girl but the officer Ahmed told her this was not possible because of her social status. A relationship began between her and the officer but this was no substitute for her daughter. Badia got into a state of hysteria and killed herself; nobody could save her.

This film, which among other things represents Chahine's mixed feelings about the United States, won 6 awards at the Egyptian Film Society Festival, including Best Director, Best Makeup, Best Poster, Best Coming Actor (Ahmed Yehia), Best Actress (Yousra El Lozy), and Best Actor (Mahmoud Hemeda). It was also voted best film of the year 2004 in a readers poll conducted by the newspaper Al-Ahram.
