This is a 27.25" x 39" Syrian poster designed by Said Hassan al-Zaim and Yahya for the 1978 Soheil Kanaan and Samir al- Ghasini film Devil of the Island AKA shaytan al-gazira based on a screenplay by Yussef Issa and starring Mahmoud Abdel Aziz as Ali Baba. Plot summary: This is an Egyptian crime film where most the action takes place in Greece. A man burns a group of important documents which belong to Nagy [Nagy Gabr]. Nagy’s friend Ali Baba [Mahmoud Abdel Aziz] tells them what happened and then Nagy dies in a mysterious accident. Ali Baba is the main suspect. Laila [Youssra] realizes Ali Baba has more than one name. A gang kidnaps Laila but Ali Baba saves her.
