False Colors (1943) - (William Boyd) US one-sheet
This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1943 George Archainbaud film False Colors based on characters by Clarence Mulford, screenplay by Bennett Cohen and starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy. Plot summary: After one of Hopalong Cassidy's crew named Bud Lawton [Tom Seidel] is killed by men working for Mark Foster [Douglass Dumbrille], Hoppy learns Bud has willed him part ownership of a ranch, but then they find Lawton is being impersonated. When Hoppy and his men expose the impersonator, at Mark Foster's bidding the sheriff jails them for killing Lawton. Robert Mitchum appears in this film in the role of Rip Austin, credited as Bob Mitchum.
