This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Hassan Mazhar Gasour and Ahmed Fouad for the 1952 film Eternal Love [habib al-ruh]. The film was written and directed by its star Anwar Wagdi with cinematography by Wahid Farid. It tells the story of a talented woman named Layla [Laila Mourad] who gives up her promising musical profession for the benefit of her husband Wahid [Anwar Wagdi] who needs her and demands that she devote herself to him instead of her career as a performer.
